About us

Our story

Your home. Your life. Your way.

Why we exist

Lotus Life Health Care was created from a simple belief: people should not have to give up the life they know because they need a little support.

Home is more than four walls. It is the kitchen where someone has made tea every morning for thirty years. The chair they always sit in. The photographs on the wall, the garden, the neighbours who know them, and the routines that make each day feel like theirs.

When support comes into someone's life, it should fit around those things — not replace them. We take time to understand how someone likes to live, what they can do for themselves and where they would simply like a helping hand.

Our role is not to take over. It is to support, encourage and enable.

Life, not just care

A person who needs support is still a mother or father, a husband or wife, a grandparent, a friend, a neighbour — a gardener, a cook, a football supporter, a storyteller. They are not a care package. They are a person with a life, and that life is what we are here to support.

Two people with the same needs can want completely different things. One person may be happy making their own breakfast but find the weekly shop hard — so we go to the shops together, carry the bags and share lunch. Another may have become lonely after losing a partner — so what helps most is conversation, company and a reason to get out of the house again. (These are illustrative examples, not real clients.)

Why the lotus?

A lotus begins beneath the surface, growing through water and mud before it opens into something strong and beautiful. For us it stands for resilience, dignity and the ability to keep growing through life's challenges.

Our symbol brings two ideas together: the lotus, for growth and dignity, and the human figure at its centre, for the individual at the heart of everything we do. Together they say what we believe — that support should help people stay connected to who they are.

Our founder

A different journey into care.

Lotus Life Health Care was founded in 2026 by Padmaja, a software engineer whose career began in 2004. She worked with Motorola and Sony, then spent more than ten years with Samsung, before moving to the NHS in 2020, where she works on the systems that support healthcare. Alongside her career she has volunteered her time in the healthcare sector.

Over those years one thing became clear to her: healthcare is not only about technology, systems or treatment. It is about people. Behind every system is someone who wants to feel safe, respected, independent and valued.

Lotus Life is her way of giving something back — something more personal, closer to people's everyday lives. Technology taught her the value of accuracy, reliability and always improving. Healthcare taught her that every person is different, and that good support can't always come from a checklist.

Her ambition is simple: to build a service people can trust, a team that cares, and support that helps someone have a better day.

Because good support isn't just about helping someone. It's about helping them remain themselves.
